Both heated sideview mirrors and rain-sensing windshield wipers surface in the Ford if only for a few trims. Unfortunately, you cannot count on a de-icer made for your windshield wipers. They’re simply unavailable.
To direct your car to make phone calls or recite directions, the Compass uses integrated Voice Command through Bluetooth®. If you select the correct trim, the Ford gives you available Voice-Activated Navigation.

Each SUV is able to tow, so you’re able to bring along your boat or a trailer when going away. While the Compass offers an optional 9-speed automatic transmission, the Escape upgrade uses only an 8-speed automatic.
Plus, the Jeep can be rigged with a 4×4 powertrain. With this powertrain, you can choose the Active Drive Low 4×4 system. This provides you with a 20:1 crawl ratio for going on the prowl on the most precarious terrain. While the Ford does offer all-wheel drive, it lacks the off-road chops of the system in the Jeep.
